+ | :That was a good place to put a question, and probably a question that could go in an FAQ somewhere. You need administrator help with it. While logged in, change the content of the unwanted user page to something that makes it clear you don't want it ("please delete - moved everything to HatGuy, delete the old user account too" would work fine), and add the delete tag, just the word delete inside double curly braces {{ }}. When you save the page it will display a big pink banner declaring its readiness for deletion, and an administrator will eventually clean it up. You could leave a link to this page on Joannac's talk page, then she can look at the whole discussion and correct me if there is a better procedure than the one I suggested. The account system is more complicated than it looks. I tried to fix a userpage (for JimL) once and made a big mess. Joannac will know exactly what to do. You can also just hop on chat and find her. Want to create a graticule page? For example, I made one to cover Tokyo, which I found on Google maps at 35.68, 139.75
So, I just copied the code from another graticule page and used the truncated coordinates 35, and 139, which pretty much covered what I want to cover. Thunderrabbit 09:28, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Delete Account?
I'm not exactly sure how asking questions works around here, so I figured this was as good a place as any. Since I have moved my user page and created a new account, I was trying to find out how to delete the old one for the sake of efficiency. However, I can't find information on how do do this and was unable to figure it out on my own. Can anyone help me out? Alex 03:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- That was a good place to put a question, and probably a question that could go in an FAQ somewhere. If for some reason you need this process expedited, you can leave a talk page note for Joanna, and it will probably happen faster. -Robyn 04:19, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- That thought crossed my mind, but I thought there would probably be a better way since the old user page redirects to the new user page. This is probably irrelevant in my case since I don't think there is anything linking to me yet, but it should probably be considered for the general case which is what I was curious about. I'm assuming the best way to go about it in that case would be to just contact an administrator directly? If so, would you leave something on their talk page or is there a message system for that type of situation? -Alex 11:15, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- The talk page is the message system. I see messages on the talk page here because I wrote the page. -Robyn 13:59, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
How do I add html image maps
New to wiki editing, first site I've tried. I've been trying to include an image map on a page, an image with different parts clickable link to different other pages, so far without success, the wiki software seems to get in the way quite badly. Is there a way to embed 'raw' html. Alh 08:43, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
- Not really. You can use most html without special markup, but certain tags like images, iframes (and anything that could be abused in a context like the wikipedia, I suppose) are not allowed. -- relet 09:01, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
504 Gateway Timeout
Sorry for posting this here, but right now I can't view or edit very much of this wiki so I'm pretty thankful this seems to work. Dear Administrators! For about almost 2 weeks now I've been having problems to view expedition pages. Every page seems to be affected but the ones GeorgDerReisende created (which seems very strange to me). I can visit the main page and user pages, but expeditions don't open, this always results in 504 Gateway Time-out. I tried on several machines & browsers, logged in and logged out, all the same problem for me. Anyone else experiencing this? Known workarounds? -- Paintedhell (talk) 08:37, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
- Apparently there is a problem in the maps or the expedition template. User:Joannac created WikiProblems which seems to discuss the issue. If the page doesn't seem to have a map on it, for example, if the expedition template is disabled, it won't time out. Jiml (talk) 08:56, 30 September 2014 (EDT)
