I'd love to see a trace line on Google Maps, following the path of the coordinates in the first column.  How exactly do you write a Google Maps/Earth overlay, anyway?  Where would I find the API for that? -- Jevanyn

:If it's just a path, you could write a kml file for that, and have it displayed in either google maps or google earth. I've done that for all hashes here, for example: http://relet.net/data/geo/possiblyallhashes.kml - You can load it in Google Earth quite ok, Maps and your browser won't manage though. :D I like the idea.. now if I just find some time, I am going write it. -- relet 19:33, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

For future renderings, would it be possible to repeat the list of graticules on the right-side as well? It would make it easier for reading when scrolling across the chart. :) - Elbie 19:44, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Trace line

I'd love to see a trace line on Google Maps, following the path of the coordinates in the first column. How exactly do you write a Google Maps/Earth overlay, anyway? Where would I find the API for that? -- Jevanyn

If it's just a path, you could write a kml file for that, and have it displayed in either google maps or google earth.
Here's what it looks like in gnuplot. -- relet 20:00, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Y-axis

For future renderings, would it be possible to repeat the list of graticules on the right-side as well? It would make it easier for reading when scrolling across the chart. :) - Elbie 19:44, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Or maybe repeat the lat/lon / graticule name on the line in the background as some sort of watermark ? --Crox 20:00, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Right side is feasible.. more background decoration is a bit too noisy to read. -- relet 20:10, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
