Sweet... sounds like a plan. I didn't realize just how last minute your trip was conceived and posted... nor did I notice this post until today. (I did say "semi regular" geohasher.) Hope to randomly see you guys another time. --OtherJack 9:26pm Pacific, August 24, 2010
OtherJack, you're so right. It would have been awesome, and I regret that we didn't meet up. Our expedition was so unplanned, you see that we were even attempting the wrong coordinates. I made the expedition page minutes before leaving on the expedition, and hoped that it would turn up on the Geohashing:Current events page in time for real Seattletes to see it. I should have marked the restaurant as an alternate and if I had time I would have investigated more carefully what your graticule does to announce upcoming geohash plans. Every graticule does it differently. We won't make that mistake again. We'll make different ones. -Robyn 16:30, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Lament from an actual Seattle geohasher
Hey Vancouverites... I (OtherJack) am an actual Seattle based semi regular geohasher. If I'd known you were going to make an attempt in my area today, I would have totally met you there. But I had no clue you were coming, because there wasn't anything posted on the Seattle page. So, thinking (like one of you did apparently) that the geohash was inside a mansion, I decided to go deflower a nearby graticule. And, after a long drive, I succeeded! But actually meeting other geohashers (which seem to be scarce in Seattle) would have been even more awesome. So... please post on our home page or our discussion page next time you head down here. Likewise, I'll make more of a habit of checking the current events page on the weekends. -OtherJack
Separate Lament
I realize I never explained where I was, and no, being a Ninja wasn't involved. At this time we were approaching Portland and rounding up a family vacation with a fireworks display in Tualatin. Wish I could'a been in two places at once! --Thomcat 16:40, 21 August 2012 (EDT)
