Introduction

After reading the XKCD cartoon introducing the idea of geohashing I wanted to get a GPS unit and start geohashing and geocaching. Finally, late in the summer of 2008 I purchased a Garmin eTrex Venture Cx. Now I can join in on the fun.

I'm in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico from April 2007 to August 2010. Currently, I'm stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas. The San Angelo area doesn't have any active geohashers so I'm looking forward to doing some exploring while I'm here.
