The hash fell in Berga, the biggest catalan city on this graticule. Today being Saturday and the hash having fallen near civilization it was a perfect opportunity to go after this graticule, last time visited 11.5 years ago by none other than relet.

Expedition

So I woke up early on a Saturday, prepared some lunch to take and went to Barcelona by train where I would take a bus which would leave in Berga.

I have passed many times by Berga since the Berguedà county has a lot of beautiful hiking places and natural areas. But on Berga itself, the city, I haven't been as long as I remember. Berga might be famous by its popular festival La Patum, with lots of fires and lots of people. What I didn't know that much, and discovered while on the inner part of the city, is that it seems that the whole personality of Berga seems to revolve around La Patum, it being referenced a lot.

So the bus left me in Berga on time and first of all visited some of the narrow streets of the centre, and the kind of iconic square where the City Hall is. A few pictures here and there, and then after the hash. It looked like today was market day. The hash was not that far and it was indeed at the parking lot of a supermarket. Located it easily, had precise proof with GPSr. And now, that's it?

Of course not. Geohashing-wise, maybe, althought I went by the hash later that day, at 16:00 to see if anybody would show up.

I went for a hike to a sanctuary on the top of the mountain by Berga. Such beautiful views of the city and the general area. Breathtaking. Found geocaches and took pictures here and there. Had lunch and everything. From there I had a unique zenithal view of today's geohash.

The went back and visited the hash again, at 16:00, but as expected nobody showed up.

Then I found a bakery which had the same name as my first name (that's peak marketing strategy to convince me choosing your product) and since today is Sant Josep, I ate the typical Crema de Sant Josep (also Crema Catalana) and waited until it was time to take the bus home again.
