Hey dude! Come and meet up with us tomorrow! Tongs (talk) 12:19, 11 March 2016 (EST)
02/03/16 - Your favorite geohashers Contd...
I have noticed your "Respect Zone" and I have also noticed the lack of my name... after those years of teaching me, and generally enjoying my company should earn my place. Hope your're well and no longer passing out.
- I had a check-up at James Paget today. They seemed quite happy and told me to keep taking the tablets. My next goal is to become "world leader" (only in geohashing though). I have already achieved this for expeditions. Now I have to visit a few more to achieve the goal in the coordinates-reached category. I'm working on reviseOmatic version 4 for the new specifications starting in 2017 or some other date. It's interesting learning new techniques now that I've got time to do it. --Sourcerer (talk) 13:54, 2 March 2016 (EST)
- As you were one of the best teachers, I am offering my Photoshop services to assist in your new website :p --ChromeCrusaders (talk) 07:41, 19 March 2016 (EDT)
17/11/15 - Your favorite geohashers
We are still a live and active... ooh god.. as in geohashing.. never mind..
Josh is at Uni and I'm a full time working adult (it sucks) but I do check up on the locations, and close ones will be attempted, and soon the Drone will be unleashed.. but just an update that you are not alone in Norwich... we do still care... --ChromeCrusaders (talk) 14:12, 17 November 2015 (EST)
Re: 2015-01-01
Thanks for the comment. I think there is more to know about Leipzig, but that was all which came to my mind that day. --TheOneRing (talk) 2015-01-20T15:12+0:00
Wiki Data
Hi Sourcerer. Here is the source code to compile the most active graticles. This code should run as it in MS Visual studio 2010. [1]
Oldest known active geohashers
Hi Sourcerer,
I asked Spindizzy and Brandon's Dad on their discussion pages whether they are still active.
GeorgDerReisende might be older then we.
Greetings --Q-Owl (talk) 08:55, 3 February 2015 (EST) (one of the oldest known active geohashers, too. :-) )
Pastori's a/s/g says 65.
- Is Category:Geohashers_by_age manually maintained? It does not seem to be accurate. So I'm no longer claiming to be the oldest active geohasher - still ancient though! --Sourcerer (talk) 08:01, 4 February 2015 (EST)
- I think it worksautomatically Template:ASG --Q-Owl (talk) 17:50, 6 February 2015 (EST)
- I think I understand now. Some users have stated their age instead of date of birth and but not made the necessary annual update.

Monster Hash
I enjoyed seeing your north-south-pairs Monster Hash. I picked up hashing while I was living in Durham UK and got an adjacent-graticule pair, but they were on either side of midnight. I like yours better. Mcbaneg (talk) 07:08, 4 February 2015 (EST)
- Yes - It can be a real advantage living near ,0 or ,179. I'm waiting for 89.999, X - then a polar explorer could visit 360 hashpoints by walking in a small circle.
February 2015
Congratulations on reaching more points in February than there were days in that month! It will be some time until I'm through all the data, but I believe that may be some kind of record! Well done sir! :) Mystrsyko (talk) 11:00, 14 April 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks for the congratulations. I had fun that month! Should there be a ribbon? --Sourcerer (talk) 09:57, 16 April 2015 (EDT)
May bank holiday
Congratulations on your latest hash. We were only 4km away from it, at Kelling Heath Holiday Park, but didn't realise until 23.30, by which time we'd had too much booze to get to the hashpoint on time. We clearly need to be more diligent in checking for meeting opportunities in the future! Tongs (talk) 17:38, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
May last-man-standing ribbons
Hi Sourcerer - I was going through Category:Last man standing achievement out of curiosity, and noticed that for that same hash missed by Tongs (2015-05-04 52 1) as well as 2015-05-10 52 1, other people uploaded more expeditions for the same date (presumably after you'd claimed your ribbons.) So for the accuracy of the category you should probably take those two ribbons down... the category will then be updated automatically. Sorry for the very minor bad news but congratulations on your formidable run of hashes this year!! I appreciate the weather reports you often include. -- OtherJack (talk) 23:37, 7 June 2015 (EDT)
- I'm sure you are right. From time to time I check the "Last man standing" for exactly this reason. --Sourcerer (talk) 03:46, 8 June 2015 (EDT)

Don't know if you're planning to be anywhere near Cambridge tomorrow, but this Saturday's hashpoint should be accessible and is close to Cambridge. I'll be there at 4pm. Hoping for some local hashers to join me, and it would be great to see you too, but don't change any plans if you've already made them. — Benjw {talk} 14:01, 7 August 2015 (EDT)
- I already did my Saturday expedition but I didn't reach the coordinates. If I can work out dog sitting arrangements, I might show up and afterwards, head towards North Norfolk to pick up 2015-08-09 52 0 just after midnight. It's a woodland hillside, not on a path so it might be another fail. Perhaps I'll get fish and chip at Wells next the Sea. --Sourcerer (talk) 20:45, 7 August 2015 (EDT)
- I just checked out Eupeodes and there is car parking and even a dog poo bin. Perhaps I'll bring the hashdog. --Sourcerer (talk) 21:00, 7 August 2015 (EDT)
- Well, I don't want to make you feel obliged to come if you'd rather not -- it's not exactly near you or on the way to north Norfolk. Not very hopeful for other local hashers, either, I'm afraid. Nobody seems to have hashed much in this graticule for a while (except you)! But I shall be there at 4pm so it will count as a Saturday meetup anyway. — Benjw {talk} 07:37, 8 August 2015 (EDT)
- All true but so wrong - there seems to be quite a lot of interest - I'll be there with the usual disclaimers for which there are ribbons.

Hey dude - we're going to be in Oxborough on Sunday! Tongs (talk) 12:34, 28 August 2015 (EDT)
- I did consider that one. The hall is impressive! But I had Sunday and Monday points in 52, 1 to attempt (both fails as it happened). Thanks for the message. One day we'll meet especially if a pub and food is involved. --Sourcerer (talk) 19:43, 30 August 2015 (EDT)
Thanks...
I probably should post it here. Thanks for the name drop.--NWoodruff (talk) 21:47, 13 September 2015 (EDT)
