It's not a UFO [http://wiki.xkcd.com/geohashing/Image:200906275213-IMG_1736.JPG], its a VOR, Very high frequency Omni-directional Range.  It's a navigational aid.  (From before aircraft had GPS.)  It's Lat + Long should be recorded quite accurately on aeronautical charts if you need a basepoint for a no batteries geohash. -- [[User:Fbfree|Fbfree]]

Ok, but just wondering why you've used [[Category:Expeditions with ticks|2]]. It makes the list of categorised pages un-ordered on the category page. -- Benjw 16:49, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Hm, right.. I had originally intended to sort that category by number of ticks. But since it is sorting literally anyway, there is no way to represent a number greater than nine. I guess I don't object the edit. -- relet 18:19, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
