Introduction

After reading the XKCD cartoon introducing the idea of geohashing I wanted to get a GPS unit and start geohashing and geocaching. Finally, late in the summer of 2008 I purchased a Garmin eTrex Venture Cx. Now I can join in on the fun.

I'm in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico from April 2007 to August 2010. That was followed by a tour at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas from August 2010 to Jun 2011. Currently, I'm at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona.
