In Berlin-Lichtenberg, Ortsteil Rummelsburg on the area of the (former) railroad maintenance depot "Betriebswerk Lichtenberg-Ost", very close to the S-Bahn-Station Nöldnerplatz.

Expedition

I started at my work on 4.20 p.m., walking to the Berlin Ostbahnhof (railway station), took the S7 (suburbian train) from there to Nöldnerplatz. After just three stations I arrived there at 4.45 p.m. I looked at my geohashing app and although I knew that the geohash would be near, I was surprised to see that it was just 120 meters.

Just a very short walk to the gate of the railroad commercial area, the former railroad maintanance depot "Betriebswerk Lichtenberg Ost". A big sign says that you should not drive or walk inside - but everybody does. Some might want to visit the somewhat hidden bow manufacturer "Baum und Bogen", but most of the people who visit this place are on their way to the B.L.O. Ateliers, a culture and event center which has rented most of the place since 2004. I learn that not all of the big German "No trespassing" signs are still valid - although one part of this place is obviously still a railroad maintenance depot today. After another 50 meters I stood in front of a second gate, the one of the B.L.O. Atelier - open as the first gate. I took some fotos of the interesting late 19th century buildings and took a small way (the way to "Baum and Bogen) between some side buildings and the a fence towards the railway depot. Looking at my geohash app again I realized that I do not even haveto dance today - I stood just on the geohash! I took the sreenshot and some fotos and went back to the S-Bahn-Station, taking the train back home at 5 p.m. I surely will visit this place again for a concert or some other events. Thanks to Geohashing, B.L.O. Ateliers is a new discovery for me in the Berlin City jungle. On the website https://www.blo-ateliers.de/ueber-about/ you can as well read about the history of this place from the 1890s on.

I did this easy geohash enjoying great weather after some heavy rain about 3 p.m. and after 5 p.m. - you have to be lucky dealing with the changing weather in April in Germany.
