Newark, New Jersey

The Newark graticule is at 40 N, -74 W. This may be the most populous graticule in the United States, with a population in the neighborhood of 7 million people. It includes almost the entire northern half of New Jersey, the most densely populated state (Census), as well as Staten Island, western sections of Brooklyn and lower Manhattan in New York, and a part of Pennsylvania northeast of Philadelphia. In addition, other than Raritan Bay, there are no large sections of water.

(2/4) A wooded field near Griggstown, Somerset County. It looks like a field that was once cleared, but was sown with rows of trees to re-fill the land. There do not appear to be any buildings within the property lines. It might be an orchard, part of a nearby farm, but I don't see an access road; I'm going to say it's unoccupied and reachable, perhaps an abandoned farm.

Best approach is from the end of Rosewood Ct, across the drainage area, and into the woods to the east.
