(I'm glad you didn't do what you'd have to do in Canada to merit a helicopter rescue.)

:Oh my!  I'm working too hard to geohash or to wiki much, but I had to come and see what the helicopter was all about. A helicopter! That's amazing.  You'd have to have head trauma or be somewhere seriously inaccessible to get one of those in Canada. I have to admit that even after reading that shocking account I had to scroll to the bottom of the page to see, "but did they reach the coordinates?!"  Congratulations on a successful expedition. Too bad about the rest. My sympathy and best wishes.  May the pain and inconvenience subside as soon as possible.  Thank you too to Danatar, thepiguy and the German medical system for looking after our geohasher. Is the bicycle going to be okay? -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 22:22, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

OMG. Please do report in as soon as you have news. You are worrying the whole channel. And the gentler souls are not even online yet. There are easier ways to achieve a Trail of Blood and Police Geohash, you know... and all the best to whoever was injured. -- relet 12:40, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Seconded. I'm sure I speak for all of #geohashing when I say that I hope you all are ok. --joannac 12:54, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
I gather that it's not actually a matter of life and death (after all, it was after the geohash was reached) but it does sound a little bit worrying... All the best to poor srs0. We await further news. -- Benjw 15:49, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
We're waiting and worrying too...love and prayers from 36 -78 -- NCBears 16:15, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Damn, that's nasty! I think that's the first serious Geohashing accident, isn't it? Anyway, I hope you'll recover quickly and thoroughly. Best wishes! Fivetonsofflax 22:36, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Thoughts and prayers, guys. How fast were you going when you hit that drain? -- UnwiseOwl 00:01, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Glad to hear that it wasn't as bad as it could have been, or looked in the pics. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope you get better soon srs0! Who knew geohashing could be so rough... Hey everyone, thanks so much for the positive thoughts! I'm touched by your concern! Also, thanks for the awesome image, ilpadre!

I just got back from the hospital again, and everything's planned for my surgery on Monday. Here's hoping it goes well!

I'll write much more and put up more details in the expedition report, but I'm slow at typing right now, so it might take a bit.

Thanks again for your concern! -Srs0 12:16, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
