I've now made a big move to the Manchester, United Kingdom graticule from my old Tucson, Arizona. It's different here!

While I had acquired a Citation of sorts back in the US, and even brought it with me here, before I could ever use it here, it was stolen, found, impounded by the police, supposedly gone over for evidence, and then destroyed for no good reason. So here I am again, in Citation Needed-land. At least Public transport geohash achievements are much easier here than in the US.

Ironically, despite my username, I've never made an expedition by conventional car yet, much less by Karmann Ghia.

Plans

• 2020-03-01 My last day with the rental car, so I'll find out Friday what's available for this day.
• 2020-02-29 53 -2 The one in 1,461 opportunity to get a Leap geohash achievement. I may be in some adjacent graticule(s) or other, depending on how the stock market numbers come up.
• 2020-02-28 Since I'm renting a car for the weekend to make sure of the Leap geohash, I'll see what's available for Friday, too.
  • 2020-02-28 53 -1 In the Peak District, just a couple of hundred metres off the road, and about 60 m up from it, but parking looks scarce around there.
  • 2020-02-28 52 -1 Solihull on the southeast side of Birmingham, right in the middle of Monkspath Hall Road, ideally situated for a Speed racer achievement
  • 2020-02-28 52 -3 Right on a track through a wood, about 6 km walking from the main road, but just about a hundred metres from a possibly accessible track nearby, in Ceredigion in Wales
  • 2020-02-28 54 -2 On a hill near Potter Fell & Brunt Knott around Staveley in the Lake District
  • 2020-02-28 53 -2 Knowsley near Liverpool, right in the middle of a field by Fairchilds Farm

UK Era

• 2020-02-23 53 -2 The hashpoint was in what looked like an easily accessible location in Roman Lakes Leisure Park. But the recent Storms Ciara & Dennis would have it otherwise, and Mother Nature needed a bitch that day.
• 2020-02-01 53 -2 The hash point is just half a mile from my house! And it's right in the park! The water park, that is… and it's right over the lake. How can I possibly reach it? Stay tuned to find out!
• 2019-03-09 53 -2 The hash point was just 5 metres from a tram line.
• 2019-02-02 53 -2 In the kitchen of the Ikea restaurant, just out of reach to us mere civilians

• 2009-02-27 31 -110 This was the day I rode my motorcycle through a geohash on a dirt road, which would have entitled me to a Speed racer achievement and started me on Minesweeper Geohash. I lack evidence, but Wyle & RoadRunner were willing to allow it.
