Calculating Coordinates
At 2015-03-10 49 8 you can see, how GeorgDerReisende performs it.
You can get the opening price for the Dow Jones Industrial Average from http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=indexdjx:.dji. But geohashers in Europe use the price of the previous day (according to the "east of -30° rule")!

HowTo get informed

about new hashpoints in your area:

Geohash Droid
This free Android app shows the hashpoint in your graticule and in the eight graticules around it. You will get it at the Google Play Store.
And the app can notify you, if there is a hashpoint near points you can choose. Just turn to Preferences/Map options/Manage known locations, there you can define points of your interest and select a radius for each of them.
Additional condition: At Preferences/Other options "Prefetch stocks" must be active.

E-Mail Notification
You get informed as soon as new coordinates for the next day(s) become available. Just sign in at xkcd.nathanwoodruff.com/Notify.aspx and define points and radiuses for future hashpoints and global hashes.
