Cambridge, United Kingdom/2012
From Geohashing
In 2012, the Cambridge graticule saw twenty-one expeditions, mostly concentrated in August and September. In addition, these expeditions were undertaken by six different geohashers. This is a very pleasant increase from the nine expeditions by two hashers the previous year! Cambridge remains one of the UK's most active graticules.
September 2012 saw this graticule's highest-ever number of expeditions, with 11 (and one retro-expedition!), all successful.
Expeditions
- 11 November 2012 (Sun): Sourcerer visited the centre line of the A149 trunk road close to Sculthorpe Airfield.
- 31 October 2012 (Wed) -- On the riverbank in Chesterton, Cambridge. Benjw and Transhumanist met up at 4pm, and Benjw went to the hashpoint again later in the evening to meet PaintedJaguar.
- 21 October 2012 (Sun): At the end of Teasel Close in Haverhill. PaintedJaguar travelled by bus from Cambridge and reached the hashpoint at lunchtime.

- 9 September 2012 (Sun): The edge of a field between Six Mile Bottom and Brinkley, southwest of Newmarket. Benjw visited just after 8pm, as it was getting rather dark.
- 7 September 2012 (Fri): In a field outside Burwell, northeast of Cambridge. Benjw visited at 10:45pm and admired the moon and stars for a while.
- 6 September 2012 (Thu) (retrohash): Benjw was too busy on the correct day, but managed to visit this point on Sunday evening on the way home from Sunday's hash only two miles away.
- 2 September 2012 (Sun): Sourcerer reached the tidal mudflat hashpoint near Stiffkey.
- 24 August 2012 (Fri): Benjw again cycled to the 52,-0 and 52,0 hashpoints, making a total of three double-hashes and 180 km of cycling in one week.
- 20 August 2012 (Mon): Benjw again cycled to the 52,0 and 52,-0 hashpoints.
- 19 August 2012 (Sun): Benjw and Ali0sha cycled to the hashpoint from their respective home cities of Cambridge and Oxford, via the 52,-0 hashpoint.
