Hi. My name is Rhonda, and I like adventure. Robyn thinks I am at least as insane as she is, possibly due to my first ever geohash being a (planned) 4 hour kayak expedition.

• 2009-04-08 49 -123 (Vancouver, BC): First attempt, first success - 5 1/2 hours in an inflatable kayak I bought that morning. Success with Robyn!

• Scout the bridge access bike route for the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge - will need to know this if I want to do a pure bicycle geohash that isn't downtown or on the north shore.
• Bike in the shop for that new back wheel on Tuesday, so no cycling hashes that day.
• Thinking of buying a bike trailer, to carry the kayak on. Any recommendations?
• Out of town for the Victoria Day long weekend for family stuff. I may try a hash point in my parents' graticule, if the family stuff allows it.
• Out of town the last week of May, not bringing my computer. I will try to survive the geohashing withdrawal symptoms.

Goals

My origin hash spot looks so easy to access, I'm going to go for it next time I visit my parents. It's about 500m (straight line) from highway 5, and google maps shows what appears to be a logging road that passes within 20m or less of the spot.

Personal firsts

Rhonda earned the Border geohash achievement by crossing the Canada-USA border on 2009-04-16 to reach the (48, -122) geohash.

Rhonda earned the Meet-up achievement by meeting thepiguy at the (48, -122) geohash on 2009-04-16.

Robyn & Rhonda earned the Double Mother Geohash Ribbon by visiting both their mothers, in different graticules, on Mothers' Day, before reaching the (50, -120) geohash on 2009-05-10.

Rhonda earned the No trespassing consolation prize by almost reaching the (49, -122) geohash on 2009-04-28.
