Hello. We are actually a geohashing team composed of two brothers from Orange Park, Florida. The one brother is Chris, a student at Georgia Tech in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The other brother, Nick, is a student at Georgia State University. Being brothers and living in such proximity, (and having only one car between us) we make one hell of a geohashing duo. We are currently home for summer break in the Jacksonville, Florida graticule.
There exists also a third brother; Mr. Bow Tie.

2009-03-10 - This was a pleasant meetup with NWoodruff outside of a library in Riverdale.
2009-03-08 (33 -85) - 2.5 seconds on this expedition changed the world of geohashing forever.
2009-03-08 (33 -84) - Our third attempt and first success in the month of March.
120 px | 2009-03-07 - Chris went solo on a MARTA/bicycle attempt. And his bike broke down. Train Wreck consolation here.
2009-03-03 - Nick struck out for a virgin graticule attempt in the Daytona Beach grat, but was stopped by the authorities.
2009-02-28 - We were looking in the woods for a virgin graticule and level one minesweeper in the Lake City, Florida graticule. We never found it.
2009-02-22 - This one was a bit of a drive and a hike, but we left our mark.
2009-02-21 - This was a Saturday hash in the Northeast area of the graticule. We asked permission from the wrong house...
2009-02-20 - We took the Auburn, Alabama graticule's virginity. The hash was on a hilltop South of LaGrange. XKCD marks the spot.
2009-02-19 - We finally conducted a successful kidnapping! The hash was on a road, in front of a suspicious house.
2009-02-16 - Four in a row. Woo! This was the first hash we've scouted out in advance. This was also the first hash we got lost trying to get to.
2009-02-15 - We still aren't quite sure if this would have qualified for a Golf Geohash... It was in the woods near the clubhouse parking lot.
2009-02-14 - Got to the hashpoint after a fair bit of hiking through some woods. We think they were someone's woods, but we didn't see any signs...
2009-02-13 - A little over a kilometer from a golf course, this hash went well with a round at Redan Park DGC. Yay for old times.
2009-02-11 - This hash was also out on I20. Seriously, this time. It was in the rightmost Eastbound lane.
2009-02-08 - This hash was in some woods behind a neighborhood. Surprisingly, there were no signs to stop us. Score!
2009-02-07 - These coordinates could easily pass off as a Bill Gates Achievement. The owner was throwing a mad keen party. Anyways, successful Ambassador hash in a backyard.
2009-02-06 (33 -84) - A midnight multihash, reached by car. Is there something wrong with us for doing this?
2009-02-06 (33 -85) - This was a really fun spur-of-the-moment geohash. It was located a third of a mile into some woods, way out on I20. So far out its in the next graticule over.
2009-01-31 - The first official xkcd meetup in the Atlanta graticule, and we were there. The real adventure lied in exploring a nearby park.
2009-01-29 - Looking for another hash or two before the end of the month, we decided to go for this jewel. Also, this was almost a disaster.
2009-01-25 - This Jacksonville hash was situated squarely in some woods, the first to really require the use of GPS.
2009-01-22 - Unquestionably our most incredible geohash to date. A troubled bicycle, a religious nut, Atlanta drivers and a Master Trespasser attempt.
2009-01-18 - A hash just off interstate, on a dirt road. This was our first attempt with GPS, so we didn't have to rely on street references.
2009-01-16 - This hash fell right into place, on one of the coldest days of the year, and offered the opportunity to accomplish something fairly rare this far south; the elusive Frozen geohash.
2009-01-11 - We found someone! The first meetup of the Atlanta graticule, at a hashpoint located in a vacant lot in a neighborhood northeast of town.
2009-01-09 - This geohash was located just inside of a liquor store. The end result of this geohashing expedition has to be good.
2009-01-08 - Checked the hash between classes, and it looked just close enough to accomplish in the hour and a half that we had. Our first no batteries and speed-racer geohashes.
2009-01-02 - Found the hashpoint to be about 6 miles away, in a residential subdivision. The actual hashpoint was located inside of a house.
2009-01-01 - Achieved our first geohash on New Years Day! The point was near Pritchard Road on the West side, located near a set of railroad tracks. |

Goals
We'd like to achieve our Origin and Displaced Origin hashes. As we are not twins, and were in fact born years apart, it is a fantastic stroke of luck that our origin hashes are only a few hundred yards from each other.
We're keeping our eyes out for closer hashes that can hold the opportunities for Walk, Public Transport and Bicycle geohashes.
We'd like to complete a Reverse Regional Achievement for the Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, Ga graticules.
- For Jacksonville, this will require hashes in the Florida counties of
Clay,Duval, Nassau and St. Johns, as well as hashes in Charlton and Camden counties in Georgia.
- For Atlanta, this'll take
Fulton,Dekalb, Cobb, Clayton,Paulding, Polk,Carroll,Douglas, Heard, Troup, Meriwether,Coweta, Pike, Lamar, Monroe, Butts, Spaulding, Henry, Newton,Fayette,Gwinnett, andRockdalecounties. This could take a while…
As soon as we can convince someone to let us kidnap them, the Drag-Along achievement.
Other Notes
So I was bored the other night and started browsing through past coordinates in graticules I've been. I found that the Jacksonville, Florida geohash for Thursday, October 12, 2006 was just under a kilometer from my house, and in the middle of a nearby road. Moreover, I certainly drove directly over the hash twice, once on the way to school and once on the way back, and in those days I carpooled with another girl who went to my high school, making her an unwitting drag-along. Oh the Curse of Unawareness.
