I love to get out on my bike for long road rides but I haven't gotten out as much as I'd like these past few years. I must say that geohashing has really changed my rides. I am one of those guys that has no problem doing the same course over and over because I know what to expect (hills, time, etc). I have a hard time deciding on a new course especially without being familiar with the area I'm going to as I don't want to get lost. Riding to hashes is great because I have a destination to go to, directions are usually pretty easy to remember and most importantly, I get to see new things.

About Me

Late to the party but so far I've found Geohashing intriguing and a lot of fun. My home Graticule is Buffalo, NY which had been quiet for quite some time before I picked it up late in 2014. I have met a couple Geohashers and I'm hoping to meet more folks when I'm traveling. I have also found some great spots for hiking with the dogs in my adventures.

That's not the case with Geohash rides and I get to see new things.

Achievements

Goals

- Move the Buffalo Graticule up the list of active areas into the top 50.
- Win the most active graticule for the month for the Buffalo Graticule.
- Minesweeper - Ah, the nostalgia of playing on Win 3.1
- Virgin Graticule - Might pick up one or two if I'm successful on the Minesweeper or am traveling. 2014-09-07
- The Hobbit - I love walking around bare-foot and who doesn't love a picnic. Will have to pick this one carefully though. A good opportunity could be when the hash lands in Allegany State Park.
- Border hash - shouldn't be too hard since Canada is so close.
- Issue(2014-12-20) and complete(2015-03-26) a Tail of Two Hashes Challenge.
- Reverse Regional Achievement - Buffalo Grat by county and Country.
