Achievements

My goal is to maintain a ratio of ribbons:attempts greater than 1. I have reached that goal. I may now safely quit geohashing.

• 2013-03-10 49 -122 (Surrey, BC): Cold White Rock sidewalk. Success.
• 2013-01-18 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): A simple geohash by the side of the road turned out to be not so simple after all. Success!
• 2013-01-02 49 -123 (Vancouver, BC): New Year's pubhash. Success.
• 2011-05-21 49 -122 (Surrey, British Columbia): Geohashing day adventure with Robyn, Elbie and Arbron. Although this was my first unsucessful SCUBA hash attempt, we did reach the coordinates on the surface. Success!
• 2011-04-23 49 -122 (Surrey, British Columbia): This is what geohashing is all about! A great geohashing picnic in a park with four regulars, one drag-along, and four newer geohashers. Success!
• 2011-04-09 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Reclaimed garbage dump hash with Robyn. Success, even though we forgot to bring T-Rex.
• 2010-11-30 49 -122 (Surrey, British Columbia): Highway hash in New Westminster. Success, for what it is worth.
• 2010-10-27 47 11 (Innsbruck, Austria): Jingle Cow Hash and a brewery visit near Erlinger Höhe, Germany. Success.
• 2010-10-25 48 12 (Landshut, Germany): Met Dawidi, zb, Ekorren & Tanya then toured Regensburg. Success.
• 2010-10-23 49 8 (Mannheim, Germany): Met Ekorren and Koepfel but thwarted by lacking a trained duck to reach the hash.
• 2010-07-31 49 -122 : (Surrey, British Columbia): Boring suburban geohash on the sidewalk with T-Rex. Success
• 2010-07-01 49 -123 : (Vancouver, British Columbia): Canada Day picnic on the side of the road. Success
• 2010-05-22 49 -123 : (Vancouver, British Columbia): Mouseover Day Sechelt waterhash. A lovely day at the beach with interesting people, only thwarted by me not wanting to get wet.
• 2010-05-21 49 -122 : (Surrey, British Columbia): Geohashing uphill hike in the dark. It was a brilliant success, thwarted only by our sanity preventing us from going 365 metres through pitch black dense forest.
• 2010-05-09 49 -123 : (Vancouver, British Columbia): Robyn and I drove all the way from Portland, and arrived slightly after midnight. Thwarted by the really slow service at the duty-free.
• 2010-05-07 45 -120 : Thwarted by barbed wire near Centerville, Washington.
• 2010-05-02 49 -123 : (Vancouver, British Columbia): Robyn, thepiguy and I hiked, got rained on, and ate nibs. Success
• 2010-04-17 49 -122 : (Surrey, British Columbia): Didn't quite arrive at the same time as yangman and plypkie. Success
• 2010-04-15 49 -123 : (Vancouver, British Columbia): Aqua-hash in the Capalano watershed with Rhonda and Xore. Thwarted by rules.
• 2010-03-28_global : Border Global hash in Idaho. Robyn and I failed our sanity check roll, and drove 600km, chartered a helecopter and reached the coordinates. All to celebrate Earth Day. Success
• 2009-12-30 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Brambly hash just off the dyke south of the airport. Brought Robyn, met Elbie. Success
• 2009-08-30 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Running and playing at Clark park. Alternate
• 2009-07-18 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Carefully planned a long drive, followed by a long hike, followed by a long swim. Then Didn't Bother
• 2009-07-08 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Anniversary geohash with Robyn. Successful retrohash.
• 2009-07-07 49 -122 (Surrey, British Columbia): Elbie's birthday hash outside Langley with Robyn. Thwarted, although I did get a new ribbon.
• 2009-05-23 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Mouse Over Day alternate meetup at Canada Place. Very civilized. Alternate.
• 2009-05-21 48 -123 (Victoria, British Columbia): Geohashing Day adventure with Xore, Elbie, Robyn and Rhonda. Success.
• 2009-04-25 49 -123 (Vancouver, British Columbia): Camp Artaban with Robyn and Rhonda. Success.
• One or two as a drag-along, but I can't be bothered to list them. Besides it might mess up my ratio.

Robyn, Wade, and Rhonda earned the Police Geohash Achievement by calling the police and having them send someone to do paperwork at us while attempting the (49, -123) geohash on 2013-01-18.

Wade earned the 2011 Geohashing Day achievement by canoeing and SCUBA diving in the (49, -122) graticule on May 21st 2011.

Wade earned the Water geohash achievement by reaching the (49, -122) geohash on 2011-05-21 by canoe.

Wade earned the doghash achievement by petting a friendly dog at the hashpoint (49, -123) geohash on 2010-07-01.

Wade earned the Picnic achievement by eating seven layer dip, hummus, pita, carrots, oranges, red tortilla chips, and cheese, alfalfa sprout and vegetarian 'salami' sandwiches, nice raspberry flavoured beverage, black forest cake at the (49, -123) geohash on 2010-07-01.

Wade earned the National Day Geohash by successfully reaching the geohash coordinates on his nation's national day (49, -123) geohash on 2010-07-01.

Wade earned the Bicycle geohash achievement by cycling 7.87 km to the (49, -123) geohash on 2010-07-01.

Wade earned the No trespassing consolation prize by almost reaching the (45, -120) geohash on 2010-05-07.

Wade earned the Globalhash achievement by reaching the globalhash for 2010-03-28.

Wade earned the Velociraptor Geohash Achievement by reaching the (49, -123) geohash for 2009-12-30 with highly visible raptor claw marks.

Wade earned the Border geohash achievement by crossing the Canada-USA border on 2010-03-28 global to reach the global/, (, ) geohash.

Wade earned the Velociraptor Alternate Consolation Prize by surviving multiple attacks from velociraptors rising up from the playing field (49, -123) geohash on 2009-08-30.
