Construction Work

Each time I found the closure signs only after passing the closed road - there were no such signs along the forest tracks from which I reached it...

Bahnstadt (Heidelberg)

Below are some pictures of Heidelberg's new city district, Bahnstadt, which is currently under construction.

  • On 2009-12-26 48 11, there were still containers left on the runway, the top one clearly indicating that this used to be a real airport.

  • The containers are gone on 2014-10-12 48 11.

  • The 'Old Town Bridge' in Görlitz(Germany)/ Zgorzelec(Poland) during 2008-09-07 51 15, Danatar's very first expedition.

  • 8.5 years later during 2017-03-12 51 14 (254th expedition). The scratches in the bricks are still visible. There are new buildings on the Polish side and a new art installation(?) on the German side.

  • 13.3 years now, during 2022-01-15 51 15. Another new building directly behind the bridge.
