New Jersey intersects with nine graticules. (Hey, it's not my fault New Jersey is so small. Blame Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Maryland.) This page is to track how many of them I've geohashed in and successfully reached.

Cape May will be tough to achieve on land, but I have come close to a water geohash without knowing the hashpoint was there, so it's not impossible. More difficult will actually be the Danbury graticule, which only has a tiny piece of NJ in it.

The algorithm being slightly streaky at times, the geohash was in this triangle twice between late September and early October. September 25th dropped in it Lake Tappan. I was able to reach a geohash here on October 12, 2009.

And just for masochistic purposes, we have the (39, -73) graticule. There's no land, but the western edge is within a few hundred meters of the shore. If I could find a boater in the area, this would complete my Minesweeper Geohash.

Also up for consideration is the Bingo geohash achievement. At this time, I think Washington DC and Springfield, Massachusetts would be the most sensible tuple, although Cape May and Cooperstown sound like more fun.

Salisbury, Maryland was a linked graticule, but since there is no NJ land in that graticule, I demoted it from the NJ regional geohash. Now you know how Pluto feels.

I travel to Wilmington, North Carolina (34, -77) about once a year, so I extended the map to that graticule and the eight around it. I've done the same for Boston, because I want to do a geohajj in the near future.

The NJ regional geohash is shaded green.
