An Active Graticule is one for which, in the past six months, wiki users have attempted or planned at least one expedition, or made significant edits to the graticule page, indicating a continued intention to geohash there. Sometimes a graticule meeting these criteria will be classed as inactive, because users responsible for recent activity were just passing through and have now left the area.

The Active, Inactive, and many Not Yet Created graticules are listed on the All Graticules page.
