Talk:North geohash achievement

Relating to User:Π π π's misunderstanding, I agree that we should probably have a list of the top, say, 50 or 100 northernmost known hashes (and ditto for the other three directions) that could then be updated with new arrivals. OTOH, I suspect that in the case of north in particular this list would overwhelmingly consist of Finland (with some possible interference from other Scandinavian countries). --January First-of-May (talk) 16:22, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for compiling. I think it should be limited to one hash per geohasher. What's the purpose of the current list anyway if it's not to be updated? To show the most northerly hashes from 2012 and earlier? It's not even accurate for that. And there should definitely be some hint that it shan't be edited, otherwise how are you to know (and who even decided that)? --π π π (talk) 23:34, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
