This graticule is located at -37,145. The majority of Melbourne's urban area is evenly divided between two graticules, with the CBD and inner suburbs lying in the west graticule.

It is so much cooler (as in temperature, and as in awesomeness) than Sydney could ever hope (or want) to be. It is also cooler (as in great; fine; excellent; socially adept) than Canberra, though so is nearly everything (except maybe Adelaide). Plus Melbourne has good coffee.

• Note: If the geohash location falls within Falls Rd, south of Eildon, the Globalhash is in a nearby graticule. These coordinates must be reached at all cost.

Melbourne is 14 hours ahead of NYC so it's acceptable to use yesterday's date.

Local geohashers

Felix Dance checks the four closest graticules and goes to the one most accessible by bike-train. He had been deflowering graticules in Asia, but has returned to live in Melbourne.
kozz will go to accessible hashes in the Eastern suburbs where possible
myka will go when he determines that the time is good and appropriate, or often if it's within riding distance (and not too dang hot), or just if someone suggests he meets them there, or he's out traveling anyway. myka is not often available in #geohashing but might just decide to show up if he gets too bored

Buckleyj will go to any if he can get there on his bike.
Lachie is fairly late to join the game but wil try to get as many as he can on his bike.
