About
This graticule is at latitude 49, longitude 8 and is one of Germany's most active. It contains the Rhein-Neckar-Triangle, a densely populated region around Mannheim and Heidelberg. It includes the southern half of Mainz as well as the northern portion of Karlsruhe and contains large parts of the Odenwald in the east.
Statistically, once every three years a hashpoint hits France in the most southwestern part of the graticule.

- 2009-11-19: 50 m into a field near Ladenburg. ilpadre cycled there.
- 2009-11-14: In the middle of the Ettlinger Tor shopping centre in Karlsruhe. A total of eight people went there and met - ilpadre, Fluxkompensator, Koepfel, Mo6eB and friends.

- 2009-11-04: ilpadre walked to Sandhausen (again).

- 2009-04-24: fivetonsofflax and Euterkuh tried to meet Koepfel in a field near Insheim, but missed each other by a couple of minutes. Coordinates were reached, though.

- 2008-06-01: The first reported expedition in this graticule. Zer0 went to a forest near Epfenbach but did not reach the coordinates (for reasons yet unknown).
