This graticule is at latitude 49, longitude 8 and is one of Germany's most active. It contains the Rhein-Neckar-Triangle, a densely populated region around Mannheim and Heidelberg. It includes the southern half of Mainz as well as the northern portion of Karlsruhe and contains large parts of the Odenwald in the east.
