About

I am a Finnish outdoors person, geocacher and orienteer. I heard about geohashing at about the same time I started geocaching in 2013, but only in April 2019 did I actually get around to creating an account.

I have created a template for displaying links to National Land Survey of Finland's topographic map: Template:MapSiteLink. Anyone in Finland is free to use it too if they want to.
Same for Sweden: Template:MinKartaLink

A better alternative for Finland: Just link to https://kripakko.neocities.org/geohash_maplink?<date>_<latitude>_<longitude>K which will redirect you to the map service. Remember to add "K" or "k" in the end as without it you'll be redirected to geohashing.info instead as above. Example: [5]

In an expedition report you could do just [https://kripakko.neocities.org/geohash_maplink?{{#replace:{{SUBPAGENAME}}| |_}}K] which automatically uses the geohash of that page.
